ICAMPS 2026: The ANACOSMA Team Brought Together Surgeons from Ukraine and Around the World

29.09.2026

The ICAMPS 2026 International Charity Congress of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery took place in Kyiv on September 18–19. Organised by ANACOSMA Clinic and Pavlo Denyshchuk’s School of Plastic Surgery, the two-day congress brought together 60 speakers and experts, including 15 international specialists from 13 countries. Following the event, UAH 600,000 will be donated to the Angels Patronage Service to support wounded Ukrainian service members.

For the ANACOSMA team, ICAMPS is an opportunity to share practical experience, train young specialists, and work alongside colleagues to advance plastic and reconstructive surgery in Ukraine. The congress aims to go beyond exchanging surgical techniques: its broader purpose is to support the development of the field and promote high standards of patient safety and professional responsibility.

ANACOSMA Doctors in the Congress’s Practical Programme

The first day of ICAMPS focused on modern plastic surgery. Speakers discussed facial and neck rejuvenation, periorbital surgery, body contouring, regenerative techniques, and the management of complex aesthetic cases. The programme included professional discussions, comparisons of surgical approaches, and clinical case reviews.

Two live broadcasts from ANACOSMA Clinic’s operating theatre were a key part of ICAMPS. On September 18, plastic surgeon and clinic co-founder Pavlo Denyshchuk performed a platysmaplasty. On September 19, ANACOSMA plastic surgeon Andrii Myronov performed abdominal liposuction using the Euromi system. Participants were able to observe the clinic’s surgeons at work and discuss practical aspects of the procedures.

ANACOSMA doctors shared their experience at ICAMPS 2026: plastic surgeons Pavlo Denyshchuk, Taras Baranov, Andrii Myronov, and Pavlo Hizhytskyi, as well as Elina Yasnytska, a physician specialising in internal medicine. Their presentations formed part of the congress’s scientific programme, giving participants insight into the approaches used by different specialists at the clinic.

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in One Programme

A dedicated session on the second day focused on combat trauma and reconstructive surgery for war injuries. Ukrainian surgeons presented their experience in treating maxillofacial injuries, reconstructing complex facial defects, managing injuries caused by mines and explosions, performing microvascular surgery, and transferring tissue flaps. Topics also included the development of a national standard for treating combat-related maxillofacial trauma.

For the organisers, bringing these fields together is essential: once function has been restored, further stages of treatment can help people return to their everyday lives.

“Reconstructive and plastic surgery always go hand in hand. First, we restore function, and the next stages help people feel more comfortable, regain their sense of self, and return to a full life,” said Pavlo Denyshchuk.

Holding ICAMPS in Ukraine this year was a deliberate decision by the ANACOSMA team.

“We do not choose the times we live in, but we choose how we act within them. This is the choice made by our team, our partners, and our speakers. We remain committed to advancing our field—and to doing so here in Ukraine,” said ANACOSMA Clinic co-owner and ICAMPS organiser Oksana Denyshchuk.

Supporting Service Members and Training Young Doctors

ICAMPS traditionally combines professional education with charitable support. Following the congress, UAH 600,000 will be donated to the Angels Patronage Service to help Ukrainian service members undergoing treatment and rehabilitation after being wounded.

Another mission of the congress is to pass on experience to the next generation of surgeons. According to Pavlo Denyshchuk, the team is committed to sustaining Ukraine’s professional community, creating learning opportunities for young specialists, and continuing the international exchange of knowledge.

The ANACOSMA team plans to hold ICAMPS again in 2027. We want plastic surgery in Ukraine to develop at the highest level, with patient safety and doctors’ professional responsibility guiding every decision. We also want Ukrainian surgeons’ expertise to gain international recognition, and their skill and responsible approach to earn the trust of the global professional community.
